Wolfgang’s Vault digs up Joni Mitchell mix concert

Missed this: Wolfgang’s Vault has gone Vault Digging to compile a collection of live covers of Joni Mitchell in concert as well as covers and tributes to create an ad hoc concert of about an hour.

It starts off with Joni Mitchell’s own version of “The Circle Game” from the 1969 Newport Folk Festival and then goes through sets by The Rolling Thunder Revue, The Band and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with Joni sitting in. It also includes material performed by Bonnie Raitt, Tom Rush, Dr. John, Don Henley, the Indigo Girls, Stephen Stills solo and more. Listen to the whole thing here (although a registered account is necessary but there’s a 14-day free trial with no credit card needed).
