Jackson Browne discusses the unique shows of his current tour

PennLive.com interviewed Jackson Browne about his current tour earlier this week. The format merges his solo acoustic shows and shows with a band.

What I’m doing right now is both [solo and group], because even though it’s billed as a solo acoustic tour, I have other players out. I’ve done [solo] a lot and I love doing it, but I didn’t feel like it this time around.

I sometimes get to sit in these group shows where people just show up and play together at various clubs in L.A. There’s a whole scene there. It’s really an amazing thing. Those kinds of moments are so exciting because they’re unscripted and nobody knows what’s coming. That’s the kind of show we have going.

He also talks about the current ascendancy of the singer-songwriter movement and his thoughts on the political climate these days. Read the interview here.
