James Taylor talks tech with USA Today, names his favorite songs and albums

USA Today‘s Jefferson Graham sits down with James Taylor to discuss the use of technology on his recently conclude tour and as a recording artist and musician. They discuss his online presence and also jam together on a few songs. Graham is clearly a fan, and asks James to list his favorites of his own material and his influences (Ry Cooder among them).

Hourglass and Gorilla are my two favorites, the ones I’m best pleased with. I would say that of October Road as well, except that I think it has a couple of songs too many.”

His favorite songs:

  1. “The Frozen Man” (from New Moon Shine)
  2. “Caroline, I See You” (from October Road)
  3. “Carry Me On My Way” (from October Road)
  4. “Yellow and Rose” (from Hourglass)
  5. “Sweet Baby James” (from Sweet Baby James)

James plans to take 2013 off to work on a new album already said to be in the works in previous interviews.
