Independent Weekly likes Jackson Browne

Independent Weekly‘s Peter Blackstock had a very favorable review of Jackson Browne’s concert at the Belk Theatre in Charlotte.

While his willingness to speak his mind will always be an essential part of his identity, it’s not what ultimately defines him as an artist. In Browne’s music, politics is not the end in itself, but rather a means to an end. The endgame remains the love song.

He also mentions Jackson performing a new song about the earthquake in Haiti but forgetting the lyrics. Needless to say, it’s already up on YouTube. He graciously and gracefully works his way through it, and pulls off a great performance:
