The Evansville Courier & Press has a great story about James Taylor stopping at a local marketing and communications firm called Fire & Rain last Tuesday afternoon. But instead of giving them a cease and desist letter for using his famous song as their business name, he gave them tickets and backstage passes to the next night’s show in Evansville, Indiana.
The company apparently ended up with the name after Firehouse Marketing and Rainbow Communications merged eight years ago. James Taylor noticed the company while riding his bicycle around town, which he often does while on tour. Vice President Jim Hough initially thought James Taylor was a homeless man since it was after hours.
