James Taylor Loves Tanglewood

Almost missed this. On the occasion of his July 4th shows, James Taylor wrote a special article for The Berkshire Eagle on Tanglewood and its Koussevitzky Music Shed, calling it the best shed he’s ever played.

There’s also no doubt that the beautiful physical landscape of the Koussevitzky Shed and the gardens that surround it have a lot to do with the magic of the place. One waxes rhapsodic at the prospect of an evening under the stars with friends, loved ones, and the company of fellow lovers of music in a tradition that seems to belong to another era.

James Taylor’s wife Kim, who has worked with the Boston Symphony Orchestra for decades, wrote an accompanying piece.
