Jackson Browne readies for Acoustic Tour with Sara Watkins

Jackson Browne’s 2012 U.S. Acoustic Tour

After a fun night paying tribute to Glenn Campbell this past weekend (check out a video of him and others performing “Viva Las Vegas” below), Jackson Browne is now back to rehearsing for his recently announced Fall leg of his 2012 U.S. Acoustic Tour with special guest singer/songwriter Sara Watkins. Jackson provided backing vocals on Sara’s debut album Sun Midnight Sun for her songs “You and Me,” “I’m a Memory” and “Take Up Your Spade”.

The tour begins on July 14th at the Belk Theater of the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, and ends on November 15th at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs. He’ll also be performing at the Newport Folk Festival for the first time, and make a stop at another storied venue, the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Jackson will donate $1 from each ticket sold on the U.S. Acoustic Tour to charity.  Tickets are now on-sale, including premium benefit seats through The Guacamole Fund.

And now a shaky, blurry video of Jackson Browne, backed by Dawes, Kris Kristofferson, Lucinda Williams and others, doing a cover of “Viva Las Vegas” during last weekend’s Glen Campbell farewell tribute show at the Hollywood Bowl.
