Australian performer Darren Coggan‘s “Moonshadows: A Magical Tribune to Cat Stevens” seems to have metamorphosed into Peace Train – The Cat Stevens Story. Of the show, Darren tells Streetcorner.com.au:
“After meeting Cat Stevens in London, I knew when I got back to Australia that I just had to share my experience and what I had learnt. Cat’s timeless songs and his message of peace, tolerance and understanding are just as important in our world today as when they were first written, perhaps even more so”.
According to the new show’s site, the production “takes us on the same journey of discovery and enlightenment travelled by Cat himself, with unique insights into the heart and mind of one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time”. The show includes all of Cat Stevens’ hits as performed by Darren Coogan & The Fire Cats, such as “Father & Son,” “Lady D’Arbanville,” “Morning Has Broken,” “The Old School Yard,” “On the Road To Find Out,” “Wild World,” “Where Do the Children Play,” “Moonshadow,” “Matthew & Son,” “Hard-Headed Woman,” “Sad Lisa,” “Peace Train” and more.
The show will tour to Parramatta’s Riverside Theatres in Australia, on March 12 – 14, at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $49 for adults, $44 for seniors/pensioners, $30 for under 30, and $20 for under 16.
