Covers nominated for Pop Vocal Grammy Awards

The 51st GRAMMY Awards announced their nominations tonight.

James Taylor’s cover of Jimmy Webb’s “Wichita Lineman” from the new album Covers has been nominated in the category of Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Also nominated in the same category is Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long,” John Mayer’s “Say,” Paul McCartney’s “That Was Me,” Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours,” and Ne-Yo’s “Closer”.

Also, James Taylor album Covers has been nominated in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album. The album is up against Sheryl Crow’s Detours, Duffy’s Rockferry, Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden and Leona Lewis’ Spirit.
