Cedar Needle Copper Silk likes Fantasy

The blogger at Cedar Needle Copper Silk uses Carole King’s album Fantasy to procrastinate and think back.

I have been entirely unable to evaluate the album precisely because it is one of the earliest musical experiences I ever had. To put it more clearly, I learned what music was by listening to Carole King as a little boy, and so later, when I was exposed to other singers, I measured them by the Carole King yardstick. Musicality, for about a decade, was determined by similarity to the “Fantasy” album.
