The late Warren Zevon’s self-titled album was his second release, but the first for Asylum Records. Originally released in 1976 and including songs like “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me” and “Carmelita,” the album was produed by Jackson Browne, who also sang and played guitar for several tracks. There are also appearances by David Lindley, Rosemary Butler, Bonnie Raitt, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, J.D. Souther, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Waddy Wachtel.
The Collector’s Edition of Warren Zevon was released today. In addition to the original album, which has been remastered, there’s also a bonus disc of previously unreleased demos and alternate takes of each track from the album.
