The Times Bulletin has an article on Carole King’s appearance in Van Wert, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon, where she was joined by Ohio First Lady Frances Strickland.
“Seeing what has been happening to folks in communities like mine and all across the country, I have a real affinity for rural communities,” she told the Times Bulletin. “For the past eight years I think the Republicans have been playing to the rural communities but not looking after our neighbors.”
Strickland also spoke, and then picked up a guitar and the two sang a few songs with the audience. No word yet on what songs were performed. If anyone hears, or finds any videos, drop me a line.
