The Priest from the blog A Doctor, A Lawyer and A Priest posted a quick comment on Jackson Browne’s “These Days” from Solo Acoustic, Vol. 1.
Too easily forgotten, Jackson Browne’s 70’s and early 80’s stuff are ignored at your own peril. Tapping the desperation and fear that lies just below the surface, this one covers similar ground as The Pretender, but, to my way of thinking, holds up better.
Line: “I’ve had a lover, It’s so hard to risk another these days.” “Don’t confront me with my failures, I had not forgotten them.”
