The Watertown Daily Times has an article about Carole King’s appearance in Watertown, Wisconsin, talking about Barack Obama.
“We need to get our votes in the bank and done. The more of us who do that, the better and the shorter the lines will be on Election Day,” she said.
She said Obama supporters should help the elderly by giving them rides to the polls and help out parents who have their hands full with children on Election Day.
“Also, volunteer as much time as you can,” she said, “especially the four days before the election … Get out and canvass, make phone calls and get out and vote. We do what we have to do. And this is something that we have to do.”
