The Citizen Times reports that the free James Taylor concert in Asheville, North Carolina, has sold out. Senator Barack Obama’s campaign announced late today that it would make available several thousand additional tickets tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM on the UNC Asheville quad.
There were long lines at three early voting sites where Obama volunteers began handing out the tickets at 10 a.m. All those tickets were given out, said Paul Cox, the candidate’s North Carolina press secretary.
The article also interviewed Debbie Ivester of Asheville Parks and Recreation.
Exactly how many tickets were distributed is not being released. But the park can “safely accommodate” 5,000 fans, Ivester said. To get a good place to watch, arrive early. For those without tickets, there really isn’t an area around the park to see the show, she said. The length of the concert will be up to Taylor.
