likes Covers posted a brief review of James Taylor’s new album Covers, giving it a B+.

On “Covers,” Taylor’s chicken-soup-for-the-soul voice reinvigorates oldies by the likes of Leonard Cohen (“Suzanne”) and Buddy Holly (“Not Fade Away”). A few selections don’t click, but the update of Jimmy Webb’s “Wichita Lineman” is masterful.
