JTWeb likes Covers

The James Taylor Website posted a brief review of James Taylor’s new release Covers yesterday, giving it a “very strong thumbs up”.

The collection includes some great sing-alongs (such as “Sadie” and “It’s Growing”), some really rockin’ tunes you’re probably already familiar with from past tours (“Summertime Blues,” “Not Fade Away”) and some beautiful tunes that fit so well with JT’s voice he could have composed them himself (“Seminole Wind,” “Suzanne”). With only a couple of missteps (the snooze-inducing “Wichita Lineman” or the not-so-special-to-begin-with “Some Days You Gotta Dance”), the album definitely has enough winners to satisfy.
