James Taylor performs Here Comes the Sun with Yo-Yo Ma

(Apparently it’s James Taylor day.)

James Taylor will be performing the Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” on Yo-Yo Ma’s new album Songs of Joy & Peace, set for an October 14 release, according to Yo-Yo Ma’s MySpace blog.

A special deluxe edition of the CD will include a DVD with a music video of the song, along with a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the album.

Sony BMG yesterday posted a YouTube video of Yo-Yo Ma discussing collaborating with James Taylor:

Taylor and Ma were on Charlie Rose last night. They talked about collaborating on “Here Comes the Sun” in 3/4 time rather than the original 4/4.
