Carly Simon provided the foreword to the recently released book and CD set Baseball’s Greatest Hit: The Story of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” by Tim Wiles, Andy Strasberg and Robert Thompson. Freep.com’s Ernie Harwell gives a brief review. The CD that comes with the book includes 16 different versions of the song by different artists. It has not yet been confirmed whether Carly Simon’s version of the song appears on the CD.
