Mail Online reports that Yusuf Islam is ready to debut an original musical based on his hit songs as Cat Stevens. “Moonshadow” is expected to debut in July in Northampton with hopes for a West End run.
On February 15, a preview of the musical will take place at the Prince of Wales Theatre during the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards. Siobhan McCarthy, who originally starred in the ABBA musical “Mamma Mia!,” will sing.
The musical will feature songs like “Morning Has Broken” and “Wild World”.
