James Taylor appeared on last night’s episode of The Late Show with David Letterman to promote his new album Covers. He performed John Anderson’s “Seminole Wind”.
The official site of The Late Show has a post-show recap, with a partial transcript of the episode and extra commentary:
Listening to James Taylor reminded me of my college days at SUNY Cortland, sitting with co-eds on the floor at the girl’s end of the dorm, drinking from a green gallon jug of Mountain Rhine wine, listening to James Taylor, Loggins & Messina, and Seals & Crofts albums. And then when I struck out, I’d head downtown to The Shamrock and try my lack of luck there.
Here’s James’ segment:
Many thanks for providing the video for those of us who couldn’t watch because we’re not in the USA. And thank you for this fabulous site!
This is just brilliant! I have been a long time fan of this incredible legend and I do believe that this might be his best ever! Although not written by Poet Taylor, his voer of this song is exquisite!
More, James!
