The blog Latest Gossip Columnist has posted a profile of Carly Simon, which includes two videos (one of her explaining what “gavotte” means from “You’re So Vain” and the other of her performing “This Kind of Love” from her new album of the same name). The profile itself is a bit of a hodgepodge culled from the Wikipedia article on Carly, but it’s a decent summary nevertheless.
